ABOUT US

Frostopneighborhood.org is run by residents of the Versailles Blvd and Calhoun Street neighborhood who live with the daily reality of this corridor – the traffic on Claiborne, the parking, sewerage and drainage issues, and the future of a building that’s been a neighborhood landmark for generations. We’re not against development. We’re against a process that’s tried to avoid the public at every turn.

The community is deeply concerned about the proposed Ted’s Frostop development at 3100 Calhoun Street and the lack of transparency from the developers. The current proposal will build a three-story, 26-unit, 4-bedroom dormitory-style apartment structure that is out of scale and character with the adjacent historic residential neighborhood.

It is important to note that we are defined by what we are for; not by what we are against. We are not anti-development. We support responsible development and protecting neighborhoods. The current plans for the Frostop neighborhood are not an example of either.
